By:Rachman Chavik Sunday, May 26, 2013

The Croogo Development Team is happy to announce the release of Croogo 1.5.2.  This release is considered the first stable release on the 1.5.x series.  If you encounter a bug, it must be your fault :).

1.5.2 Changelog

  • Bugfixes reported during 1.5.1 cycle: #348, #364, #366, #369, #370, #373, #375, #376, #380, #381, #382, #384, #386, #392
  • Caching mechanism has been modified to use CakePHP's Cache class, thus allowing Croogo to utilize all the supported Cache engines, such as Redis, Memcached, etc.
  • Additional symlink checks are added in CroogoPlugin and CroogoTheme so that deleting a symlinked plugin/theme will not remove the original content.
  • The 1.5 branch has been merged into the master branch and deleted of the repository. 1.4 branch has been recreated to track 1.4 changes.  If you have scripts that depends on 'master' being 1.4, please update it accordingly

For detailed changelog, please consult the commit history.

What's Next

  • Continuing with Documentation updates.  We recently have a nice contribution from Elias Coronado with the Spanish translation.  The docs are now hosted in http://docs.croogo.org.  You can help with the documentation by forking http://github.com/croogo/docs and submitting pull requests. The old wiki site will still be kept online to cater for 1.3 and 1.4 releases.
  • 1.6 branch has been created to start off our next development cycle.  Stay tuned for our roadmap.   If you have ideas for 1.6.x, please post it in Google Group/Plus, or #croogo.

A huge thanks to Damien Biasotto, Grégory Salvan, Liam Keily, and Rachman Chavik, in contributing to this release.
